Currently.

HK
I always love a good link-up. Especially a new one that I haven't participated in before, or that may just be starting up. It allows for so many opportunities to get to know new bloggers and see what others are up to.

Frankly, some days I just don't know what to write about. Like today.
So I'm thankful for link-ups like this one which give you a nice little writing prompt.
Taking my cue from Randalin at Harvesting Kale, I'm going to write this week's "Currently" for Isaiah. Enjoy!

This week's themes:
Loving, Devouring, Giving, Grateful for, Going

Isaiah is currently...

Loving his squeaky teether toy, Sophie the Giraffe. You've probably seen these suckers everywhere. Rubbery, cute, squeaky little giraffes. And they're expensive! Thankfully I had a killer coupon to Babies R Us that I used to get the sucker. There was no way I was going to pay $25 for a piece of rubber that my baby was going to chew to hell.

Devouring his bottles. This little man is a chow hound! And we're so thankful. He's gaining weight at a great rate - weighing in at 14 lbs even, and 24 inches long. I'm hoping to start him on rice cereal soon to help him bulk up even more before the big surgery.

Giving me grief. Though he's generally a VERY happy baby, Isaiah had his 4-month shots the other day and it made him a tad fussier than normal. Couple that with the fact that I'm still trying to unpack from our big move, and I think he's starting to get annoyed with me not hovering over him all the time like I had been.

Grateful for "The Golden Girls." Sounds silly, but I love watching old episodes of "The Golden Girls," and they just so happen to come on right around Isaiah's morning nap time. He loves being held and rocked to sleep, so while I watch the show I snuggle Isaiah and hold him while he sleeps (though I'd do it even if the show wasn't on - I love me some snuggles!).

Going to lots of appointments! We're back to bi-monthly cardiology visits, plus he just had his 4-month well child check. We're also waiting to hear from his pediatrician with information on a hearing test with the audiology department (his hearing is fine, but the last 2 tests have been inconclusive and the state requires a passing test).

  1. I love Sophie! Since my girls are twins, we have two of them. They were a gift, so we didn't have to shell out the cash (we're lucky like that). However, I think I would have bought them, had they not been gifted to us. They are food grade rubber and paint, and made by an independent toy company, and I appreciate those things in a toy. Also, at 28 months old, my daughters still love to play with them. Now they're just giraffe toys, since they're past the chewing stage. And after much biting, they are still in great condition.

    1. Sophie is pretty cool. I'm loving her more each day as Isaiah starts developing his grasp better.
